Getting there was exceptionally easy. We took the train from Schiphol and walked out of the train station to the ferry, which leaves every 5 minutes, or more frequently during rush hour. The ride is 2-3 minutes across and drops you what I would call 1 city block from the hotel entrance. The ferry is free and runs 24 hours a day (and is extremely busy). Very convenient to get into central Amsterdam for sightseeing, dinner, etc. We had considered the Apollo or the Element (the W was ridiculously expensive), but are so glad we gave the Sir Adam a shot - it was much easier than taking trams.
Had I known it was that easy/1 block from ferry I would have booked this on a recent visit to AMS. Thanks for this review.
Water/internet: did they give you free bottled water and how was the wifi?
