Right now CIBC have 2 Aventura card with 15K bonus and no annual fee, thinking of booking Christmas trip to USA South, but I can't find out how much points I need for the trip, Max 35K?

My comparison of Aventura vs Aeroplan for short haul

If I earn 15,000 points on an Aeroplan card, I can cancel the card and the points stay with my Aeroplan account.

If I earn 15,000 points on an Aventura card, I have to plan to use those points, and exactly that number of points, before I cancel the card. So unless you book several short haul flights a year, with Aventura it's harder to use the points efficiently.
