As I said above, I have no problem with status matches or challenges as long as it is once over a defined period, usually years. I have taken advantage of it myself and am working hard on keeping it legitimately by actually using the new program. What I am frustrated with is it no longer seems to be once over a set defined time period and some programs you don't even have to prove any equivalent status. In another forum a person was asking about a status match. they did not meet the requirements so were going to lose the status so they were asking about using it from another program, that they had status matched into and did not meet those requirements either. Are all these programs so desperate for new customers that they throw any rules they have out the window? Possibly at the expense of the customers they already have? It is the people who do it for one stay/flight then later complain when they are dropping down and want to game the systems again and sometimes succeeding. I remember when you had to think real hard if you wanted to status match or challenge as it was once in a lifetime. Now it seems to be once a year or 2 years. People don't seem to want to actually earn it anymore. Hmm, maybe it's all the millennials who were given trophies for just showing up.
