Whenever I sit next to a foreign pilot and we get talking, I ask them if they know about Gimli glider. They always respond that not only are they aware of the only time a widebody has been successfully slipknotted, but that Canadians have a reputation for fuel conservation, as their part to contributing to the environment. 😁
