I thanked the pilot when we disembarked - and found out he was piloting our ARN-HKG flight as well

I did not know that SK used the same pilot pool on their A320-fleet as on their A330-fleet, nor that duty hours allowed piloting an 1 h 10 m flight immediately before a 10 h 20 m flight.

Your ARN-HKG pilot had probably been deadheading from CHP to ARN.
