Thank you for responding skywardhunter. Hand baggage only would be ideal. No worries at all. But for three weeks stay in India it would be nice to take at least one check in luggage. Hence wondering if this type of transfer service will work.

I have another question if you or any other traveller would be so kind to clarify. Just in case I go for travel with hand luggage only, travelling Ethiopian Business category to DXB I am allowed two pieces of hand luggage of seven kilos each. As the onward journey through Emirates is economy and only one piece is allowed, would I be allowed in the airside transit area to go to an Emirates counter and check in the second hand luggage to India?
