I have just received Silver status with Virgin Airlines and they gave me two free Virgin lounge passes. I am travelling to the USA next month - departing Sydney (SYD-Texas) booked with Air NZ flights (flights are Air NZ booked with Air NZ on Air NZ planes).

Can I use the Virgin free lounge passes at the International Virgin lounge or Air NZ lounge at Sydney International Airport? They both seem to be Star Alliance, but the website is a bit confusing about this.
