Does not work that way. You must board the plane for the miles. Although, on many occasions when I did not fly for weather/mechanical reasons (last leg of a trip and I took ground transport instead) I got the miles and bonuses by sending a request. But otherwise, you are out of luck if you do not fly. Sorry!
