Right. I am not challenging Milton's decision back then, I am asking if it is really better now for AC to have its FFP owned by someone else.

IMHO, I'm also convinced that a few of the idiotic problems we face are due to Aeroplan holding our miles and profiles. Aeroplan cannot hold our KTN numbers in the same way that UA, AA, DL etc can. It's absurd.

It's more absurd that AC MEDO controls if/when our flying miles actually make it to Aeroplan and when, for e.g., some promo miles do not, Aeroplan blames AC and tells customers to call them (we know how that works) and no one at AC exists to answer a phone or email (exceptions of those with top tier status)
