As the old adage goes: don't knock it till you've tried it! It certainly is not an item I'd rush to try from a cold buffet, nor would it find its way in to my shopping basket but I have had a Scotch Egg served as part of a dish in First (on BA and CX!). They can be very tasty.

I'm hoping the new CE catering will be regularly rotated, I became rather bored of the last offerings and more often than not refused the meal on short haul.
