Yes and could be interesting as a warm savoury but I'll join those who personally won't touch the mass produced cold version. More generally, as someone who often flies CE before or after one or several long haul flights, I'll admit that deep fried things are nowhere near my top choice.
As the old adage goes: don't knock it till you've tried it! It certainly is not an item I'd rush to try from a cold buffet, nor would it find its way in to my shopping basket but I have had a Scotch Egg served as part of a dish in First (on BA and CX!). They can be very tasty.
I'm hoping the new CE catering will be regularly rotated, I became rather bored of the last offerings and more often than not refused the meal on short haul.
