Make sure they are booked separately and not linked if you are going to skip the last leg of your MR. Also for positioning flights if you are doing all the segs you may want to link in case your flights are delayed. Sometimes for my MR if they are from LAX will use miles as if I book 6 weeks or more in advance can usually get a flight SMF LAX for 11,000 SM and $11.20, if from SFO will drive to SFO. Haven't tried yet from LAS but will keep that in mind since Nichelle has mentioned it. Am looking at one in Sep and need to stay in SIN 5-7 days for work, will probably have to wait till Jul or Aug before prices will come down. For our trip to India leaving from LAX vs SMF the fare was $300-$400 less, that is often the case for SIN as well. Have a Great Day and Weekend!
