I agree. Not much time to do anything but hang around the departure terminal. You can take a hot shower for 300 yen, eat Japanese and western food at the numerous restaurants/shops, surf the internet for a fee, or browse through the duty free shops. I'm not the high drama type and don't feel comfortable leaving the terminal at an international destination unless I have at least 8 hours. Then again after a hot shower I have a bite to eat while my time sipping Sapporo or Asahi in the lounges.
