On the other thread, I had requested advice on flying to Glasgow to Malaga (we will be staying at a timeshare near Glasgow for a week, followed by a timeshare near Malaga for a week).

Now I want to ask for any possible same day Star Alliance only routing, between Malaga, and Ottawa, via either an intermediate European destination, and either Montreal or Toronto (I am not too interested in the direct nonstop from LHR to YOW, as that flight is difficult to upgrade).

PS-I may wish to only buy a ticket from Canada to Glasgow, and from LHR back to Canada. I may wish to get an Aeroplan award ticket from Glasgow to Malaga - stopover, and then Malaga to LHR. The only question I have is whether an open jaw is allowed, for such an award.
