Does this fee include in-room WiFi? It's confusing because on the Westin Gaslamp webpage they mention an "In-room high-speed internet access (Up to 10mb/s)" under the Facility Charge header, but then separately mention a "Wireless & Wired High-Speed Internet Access in Guest Rooms FEE: US $12.95 for 24 hour period" under the Business Services header.
I spoke with Adam in Guest Services at the hotel and he says that their Enhanced level of WiFi is included with the mandatory charge. He went on to say that for folks who get free WiFi as part of their member benefits, they waive the mandatory charge altogether.
