I've got a stay coming up at a property in Europe, and will have a colleague staying at the same hotel (in a room booked under his name). I am hoping to be able to get him breakfast using my benefit. I did book my room for two people, but not having seen this thread, I emailed the property to ask if they'd allow him to have breakfast using my benefit. They said no, and immediately I wished I hadn't asked. That said, do you think that when we're actually there, it would be a reasonably safe bet to just have him show up to breakfast with me? As you said, I can't imagine them asking about names at breakfast- I assume they just have a list with room number and number of guests? And I can't recall ever being asked for the name(s) of other people in the room when I check in alone...
