I wouldn't randomly walk up to someone and ask them if they wanted to get into the club (in most cases, "never say never" and all that), but what are our guesting privileges for if not to be used? If a conversation in the air is good and I want to continue it on the ground, I have no problem inviting him/her in for a coffee. Mostly connections preclude it from happening, but it's a gesture that I have absolutely no problem with.
(OK, that sounds like I invite people in all the time; in reality it's happened only twice since I switched to AA in 1999. But I have no problem with the idea of it.)
