But certainly this rule does not seem well known. Other than DCA, I can't even remember the last time I saw a uniformed service member in any lounge.
I suspect you're not supposed to be in uniform if you aren't traveling on orders, but the AA website only says you need a boarding pass.
That said, if I was in my teens/twenties, I'd probably have a better time with my colleagues in the USO. Well, probably I would have stopped by the AC for the booze, but I have no idea if drinking is allowed in uniform.
