I've found myself arriving at Bank for the DLR less than an hour before BA1 and still had time for a glass of bubbles in the lounge. I once cut it so fine at LCY on a Saturday morning Glasgow flight about 10 years ago that I arrived at the gate to see them raising the stairs. There was nobody left manning the gate, so I ran outside and shouted up to the crew member, who kindly lowered the stairs again for me. Quite definitely the tightest I've ever cut it and got away with
