My parents have expressed desire to visit the Candian Rockies... Coincidentally they plan to be in Vancouver at the end of May/Early June... Has anyone experience with the Rocky Mountaineer....?

I understand it's affiliated with Virtuoso (thanks Besvisor).. it seems to have a myrid of packages, all centered around a two day train ride from Vancouver to Kamloops to either LAke Louise or Banff... I wonder if it's better to book the package via the Rocky Mountaineer or to book the train and properties separate...

As far as Lake Louise and Banff- it seems like the Fairmont properties there are both Virtuoso.. are those the best options in town?

Any other tips/hints?
