MH - AA interline

I know MH will be able to check the luggage all the way to LAX but most likely won't be able to issue the CX boarding passes.

Will I still get the 2 piece luggage allowance (23kg/32kg x2) or will i be stuck with the 30kg that MH allows?
I'll be taking the same trip in mixed cabins (KUL/HKG in J, HKG/LAX in Main Cabin/Y) but on AA instead of CX.
It's my first time traveling in mixed cabins.
I know MH will allow up to 2 pieces of checked luggage in both Y & J (weight limit is 30kg/40kg respectively).
When I check in at KUL, what if I my total checked baggage weight is > 30kg? Will they refuse to check through my bags to LAX?
