Another quick question, I was just reading a thread on here about a guy who was having some issue with two separate bookings, something about he needed a Visa to board his flight in Australia because he was going to be there more than 8 hours and his tickets weren't direct?

If we are going to fly from Dallas->Canada->Tokyo, spend a week there, fly Tokyo->Bangkok, spend 3 weeks there, fly Bangkok back to Tokyo->Canada->Dallas , are we looking at any weird stipulations or anything I'm not aware of?

It was mentioned in this thread that we would want to book the flight to Tokyo as soon as its showing up on the Aeroplan website, and then separately book coming back. I have no clue what a PNR is but I was reading something about "linking" my flights together.. I'm feeling a bit in over my head at this point. I thought I could just book the flights and fly.. are there some Visa requirements or stuff that I'm not aware of?
