Thank you for the reply. Yes, I did check their website under specials and called the Hyatt "Direct" prior to booking through Hotels.Com. I spoke to a rep that told me there was no "Sunshine on Sale" specials at Hyatt Resort Key West at the time. I told her about seeing the promo on Expedia and Hotels and she said that when the special does run (at a certain time) these companies block off rooms for there sites thus being able to offer the Sunshine on Sale promo. I know about the cancellation policy between the both. The price difference however was very very high. I saved about $100/night booking through Hotels.Com. I would not say that "I blew it big time". I would much rather have the extra cash. It just seems weird that I can book through my Travel Agent (example, my trip to Hyatt Maui), earn miles, but cannot earn them when booking through web based companies. The price you pay to get a good rate. Now I wonder about an upgrade? Hmmm
