Hi -
Delta had a schedule change that really messed up my plans.
I am now connecting from international to domestic and the new connection time is 1 hr 18 min (down from 2hrs 10 min previously). It will be early Sunday evening (~7pm) if that makes a difference.
Even though this is technically not a legal connection, it was re-ticketed and the Platinum agent assures me I can keep it if "i really want to."
The alternate option is to outright book on the later flight, which leaves me 5 hrs in ATL and gets in to my final destination at 12:30am.
I have global entry and I'm a PM, not planning to check bags, so a savvy traveler and walk fast.... but haven't traveled a lot internationally recently to know the typical amount of time this process will take. Can navigate lines with the best of 'em.
that being said, is this a crazy idea? What are my chances of making this 1:18 connection? Should I just switch to the flight arriving at 12:30am? If I do that, I could take a later initial outbound flight and gain an extra 2 hours of vacation.
Thanks in advance....
