So the check arrived today from Delta (I guess because it was ticketed through them) for $1515.00. It was alongside an email which apologized and said the maximum they could/would pay was the 1,131SDR per ticketed passenger.
Itinerary was SFO-CDG-CMN CMN-CDG-SFO
They just asked to file a claim within 7 days and wait for a minimum of 28 days before the bag was deemed lost. Whether they made any effort whatsoever to locate it is debatable. All very procedural and nothing personalized about their service/assistance at all.
Which is why I have no qualms about getting what owed to me and not a penny less.
Did you have to submit detailed receipts?
