Amanera will start at $1100 a night for the entry level... they were able to confirm an upgrade at booking for me to a pool suite at the next price point (? hill casita). They have a couple packages right now with some inclusions but food will still run you extra.. the hard product looks quite stunning...

Amanyara during this time period will be running the Seasons of discovery package; which includes the 5th night free.. if you have the Citi prestige card you might be able to get the fourth night free as well.. so food will be inclusive, which will help keep costs down. The entry level pavilions are fairly unremarkable in that they face the interior and there's been some reports that they are starting to show some wear (ours was perfect though). The beach and main pool here is absolutely stunning...

Are they worth it? depends on your vacation style.. we like absolute peace and quiet... we go on vacation just to enjoy being with each other and don't really want a scene or to talk to anyone.. so for us, they are worth it... however....

I agree with the hot and muggy aspect of July...
