Not to excuse the shoddiness (or the delay in addressing it), but remember other airline's have had issues just with delivery of Zodiac made seats (AA and now UA with their Polaris seats). In AA's case, their seats also had problems and they are still trying to work out solutions (for the seats already installed, part of their solution was switching to a different seat from a different manufacturer but even that took time). And whatever solution CX does devise has to be approved by the regulatory authorities, which takes even more time. So I guess I'm saying it's not surprising a fix isn't in place yet.
