For domestic to international there isn't a Flight Connection route, it's purely international to international in the South terminal. And yes it's a bus, then landside, then main security. It's much more compact than North so it shouldn't take any longer.. But the one hour or rather 45 minute rule for check-in applies at JER if on one ticket. That's your check-in place, and you should get all boarding passes there. You are just in transit at LGW.
