I once crossed into Canada (Yukon Territory) from AK, and the agent there was very nice and asked whether we wanted some nice stamps. We said yes, and ended up with a nice big maple leaf with the words "Yukon Territory" and a stamp in the shape of a bear, in addition to the regular square entry stamp.
