You had my favourite seat on that very flight! Was taken by the time I took a £299 POUG from WTP and so were 62AK and 64A.

Interestingly on this flight for the first time ever I remembered to check my seat recline pre-doors closing!

I was in 19K and remember the seat shifter. There was a bit of that going on that night.

The crew on that flight were indeed very pleasant down in the dorms.

I've always been very pleased with BA's service when they think you're even slightly disappointed (I'm not a fussy one too but I tend to make sure I smile and take any issues as lightly as possible) however I know of a few who have had quite the opposite experiences.

I can't say I can beat £390 for J+F (lucky you!) but I was pretty happy with £599 WTP return + OpUp to CW on way out and £299 POUG on way back. It's a good route for this of thing if sat in WTP.

Finally, I echo your thoughts on the DXB ground experience especially the lounge. It leaves so much to be desired for what is I would have thought is a very competitive route for BA especially in premium cabins.
