I saw a post on Royal Jordanians twitter stating that all electronic devices will
be banned and must be checked (with an exception to cell phones and medical
devices).

I literally never travel with checked bags, and do carry a lot of electronics
myself... Hope that this isn't true for all Middle East/African carriers.
