So I suppose "departure" is "off blocks" and if there's a mechanical problem, the techs fix it without a return to gate? If so, it makes the "departure" a nonsense.

I prefer the AA system which shows the probability of a specific flight being on time. More useful for the pAAssenger than an airline bulking all movements into a system wide average.

Must re-read the book "how to lie with statistics".
