We were very clear about the Delta brand, while the Northwest culture was contentious, with strikes and unrest.” The unions were initially skeptical, he says, but “buy-in happens. It’s taken years, but it’s a success.”
This is why I think DL is in a stronger position today than UA or AA. The expectations were set right from the beginning and there was no doubt that it was going to be the Delta way for better or worse.
