I got bumped from 1A for Gordon Brown when he was briefly PM, very disappointed.
When Brown was in No. 11, I once flew in 1D with him in 1F and his aide in 1E.
His aide wasn't very discrete with the paperwork sitting on his lap, showing the names and addresses of many of the then-cabinet.
I suspect I might have been kicked further back if every seat on the flight was not taken.
