agree!!! not exactly warm and welcoming - everything else about the hotel is fine - lounge where food is placed a little small if more than 3/4 people use at same time, you start to bunk into each other but they do replenish quickly- this is in the smaller lounge for adults.

We had a suite and was very nice - afternoon tea was SO-SO -location is very good since London is what I call a walking city - we walked to Harrods via the park -took train from LHR then taxi to hotel the taxi cost about $12-15 very short ride.

we have always stayed at the Berkeley in knighsbridge and would stay at either hotel and be happy
