Looks like I will be taking the taxi route to and from the hotel.

Thanks for the restaurant recommendations. Thai food can work for single diners -- I just order a chicken or shrimp curry dish with extra veggies and rice. Fills me up and maybe I will get an appetizer depending on how hungry I am.
