i dunno what kind of company you run or work for but some companies make a point of making their employees #1. like how aa gives zone 1 boarding to any employee travelling on a pass. it's known as a perk. or in this case a contractually required entitlement.

kinda like how family of accountants get their taxes filed for free, or family of doctors get to the front of the line with their associates, or family and friends of cops get traffic violations wiped out.
