I think something people forget about Zagat is that it's really just a survey. Thus, a restaurant can be rated highly more because it just happens to be popular then because it truly offers great food (though those 2 often are linked). It's no wonder, then, that places like Cheesecake Factory make the list.
A few years ago, Krispy Kreme was one of the top 25 restaurants in Houston, ranked by food. It appears to be in the top 30 for Vegas now.
I agree the online listings seem to be decreasing, even as the price was recently increased.
