I'd like to add this. I flew BOD-LGW at Valentines. The flight was delayed as there was very strong winds at BOD. There is no lounge of any description at BOD - we were not allowed to go through Security as they did not know when our flight was actually going to leave. We went to Check-In and they apologised for the delay and offered us breakfast. Their thoughtful gesture turned sour, not for any fault of theirs, but thanks to the je-m'en-fou attitude of the the staff at the cafe - who when I protested that we were fobbed off with the cheap stuff although BA was paying for the full product was told - if you don't like it take it up with BA.

I did. They were not best pleased and I treeted BA thanks to what I have learned here. Two days later I had a call from Customer Services to apologise and took on board big time that what they were paying for (I checked that I was right) and what we were being given was at variance. Those vouchers are usually a licence to print money for hotels and restaurants. I was impressed that someone called. I jokingly mentioned that if they wanted to give me some Avios I would not be offended and was told that the rules were so strict and this did not fall under any rules and he was sorry. I had no problem with that but thought that I'd pass that on.
