Thanks again everyone. I have Bronze status, but my understanding is that AA TATL flights allow seat selection for free (which is borne out by the fact i can do it from aa.com if I use the right locator). Seating is an issue, one reason for choosing the AA731 was the 2-4-2 seating in economy on the A330. As a family of 4, I'd like 2 pairs, one behind the other.

I have chosen seats on all 3 AA flights, but have had to do it across two record locators which is what concerns me. AA have said on Twitter that i should be good to check in with one locator and will still get the correct seat assignments. I guess I'll only know for sure when I actually check in online...😱
