Has sparkling water been "enhanced" away?

Flew TXL to LCY on Thursday in Euro Traveller, and returned Friday. On both flights I requested a sparkling water.

On the outward journey I was told that they didn't have any sparkling water and was offered a still water instead.

On the way back I was initially told that they didn't have any, but then the flight attendant said she'd see whether she could get some from the Club Europe cabin. (She did, but then didn't have any lemon to go in it).

So... has sparkling water been enhanced away from the Euro Traveller cabin? I'd be pretty astonished if that were the case, but nothing about BA would surprise me these days.

The inconsistency of the food and beverage offering on the LCY-TXL flights also puzzles me. Full breakfast when flying LCY-TXL, but only a tiny "toasted" sandwich at 7am in the other direction. And last night just a minuscule pack of Walker's shortbread fingers at 7pm.
