I am flying MAN-LHR-HKG-LHR-MAN, the first and last leg with BA in Y and LHR-HKG-LHR with CX in J. The BA and CX bookings are on separate ticket. Reading the forum posts it appears that I would have lounge access in MAN on the outbound and at LHR T5 on the return, through OW. Is this correct? Not really bothered on the outward journey at MAN but have a bit of time to kill on the return journey at T5.
Confirmation either way would be great.

Access at MAN on the outbound depends how you interpret the OW lounge access rules*. It certainly wouldn't hurt to present yourself at the MAN lounge, showing the onward boarding pass to HKG, and requesting access.
*debate is whether the OW rules only apply when at the connecting airport
between flights, or whether the rules apply to
all flights, including point of origin. I think they apply to all flights, including those at point of origin. BA may have a different view, but worth asking.
