My wife and I clear and my daughter gets an immediate X, and then there's no agent to deal with us. So we end up waiting on line anyways. Whereas if we did MPC for her, she'd clear more quickly.

If you think its faster to use MPC, then just do it. Just because you have GE, doesn't mean you have to use it.
Honestly, its not that big a deal. I'm coming through YYZ most often, sometiemes, there's a couple of people ahead of us, but usually goes pretty quick, especially once we get to the agent. Sometimes we get asked if we're declaring anything, sometimes the agent doesn't say a word, takes the kids passport, processes them, and we're on our way.
Rarely does the time at the booth exceed 30-60 seconds.
