I reserved a Land Rover for a weekend for ~$150, and my confirmation says there's a $300 no-show fee if I don't cancel within 24 hours. Can this be true? I almost can understand paying something for their trouble in getting a special car ready, but surely it doesn't cost them more for me to take their car than if I leave it! I could change to a Jeep Compass for $50 less and avoid the problem, but then I'd have to drive a Jeep Compass. Maybe I'll roll the dice and hope Delta jets get me there on time.
