Seems perfectly reasonable to me. It means that of the 8 seats in the cabin the airline is only prepared to sell another 5 in the F fare class and 4 in the A fare class. If it were the other way around with numbers higher in the EF F and A classes than seats in the cabin then there would be a problem.
Thanks but its still not 100% clear to me - I assumed that the A and F fares would add up to the max number of remaining available seats in the cabin - ie of the 8 seats, 5 would be sold as F, leaving the other 3 for A. Hence my confusion that they added upto more than the number of seats in the cabin in this case.
