I'm an HBO Gold card holder who travels with a roller bag + Satchel.
Arriving at security.
1. Roller bag. Unzip and place in tray #1
2. Place satchel + coat + belt in tray #2. Remove laptop + iPad
3. Place laptop + iPad in tray #3

Usually have to wait for trays at T5. Move empty trays to the end sometimes. As mine come down, usually the ones ahead are empty. When repacking, I'm towards the end of the belt and move towards the end of the belt as those ahead finish.
1. Start with my belt.
2. Pack liquids back into roller. Remove roller and pack tray away.
3. Still standing at the belt, put laptop + iPad back in satchel. Put tray away.
4. Grab coat. Grab satchel. Put final tray away.
I do this all at the belt - it generally takes 20 seconds or so. I don't generally feel hassled because the throughput isn't that high, I know where everything goes and I'm making space with my three trays.
I don't feel that's particularly wrong. I think it would be a different story if I was holding someone up, but I haven't found that.
Am I a sinner?
