I'm thinking of taking my Mom for a visit to Burlington, VT in August and trying to be proactive and book something before rates get too crazy; beyond what is probably already crazy for that area.
I'm finding some decent AARP rates at this property that give a 2pm checkout, and a lakeview exec floor is just $20 more per night than a basic room.
I'm assuming as a gold that I'd get lounge access if I book an exec room?
Kind of torn between this and the HGI...
Similar room at the HGI (2 queens/lakeview) runs $100 more per night
Is the Hilton that bad? I'm liking the look of the location (proximity to the lake/trails, restaurants, shops, etc.) and of course the views.
We'd probably be there for 3 nights, so a comfortable room would be nice.
Also thinking of Bennington, VT (or splitting the trip)...but there is just 1 Hilton property there, a Hampton. Not walking distance to town, and even more expensive than the Hilton Burlington.
