We're sorry to hear/learn that you didn't like the hotel nor would you recommend it, our experience was on the other hand very enjoyable and memorable.

We stayed at the Shangri-La Singapore : Valley Wing too in July 2015 and we've enjoyed this hotel tremendously incl. the resort-like location, the gardens, our room with a balcony on the 17th floor, plus the service and Valley Wing inclusions/offerings.
