I recently stayed on the exec floor of the Sao Paulo Hilton in the downtown area. This property needs upgrading work and the exec level rooms, although clean and with the usual amenities, were a bit tired.

The executive lounge on the 31st floor is small. It is well stocked with drinks in a fridge. The two concierges are top notch and provided me with great service. A private tour of the city was quickly arranged with transfer to the airport.

Breakfast was decent and had hot food. Tables with linen had been set for breakfast and staff were present to attend to guest needs.

One of the concierges is a former bartender and she mixes good drinks for you.

A note: Give yourself lots of time to get to the airport. Traffic is unbelievable at rush hour and it took one and a half hours to make my way to GRU. I am told that this is the average and that rain or an accident can double the time.
