Last week I was flying out of O'Hare when I was selected for a special screening that I've never actually had before anywhere travelling, so it was a new experience for me.

The agents asked me whether I wanted a screening in a more private area instead of it being right in the main security area, which I agreed to.

The agent who would be conducting the pat down explained to me that he had to touch basically every part of my body, asked me to take off my shoes and belt and proceeded with the pat down.

He adjusted my shirt collar, put his fingers into the band of my pants, and got a few crotch swipes while he was at it. Lastly, he got me to sit down in a chair and lift up my socked foot, which he then felt down and even felt between my toes to see if I had anything between them.

He came back into the room after and asked if I have had any contact with cocaine recently, which would only have been possible at a party I was at recently. He informed me that after patting down my socks that his gloves came up positive for traces of cocaine. I found this weird because of the fact that my socks could have had traces of anything being they were walking on their floors. Luckily there's nothing they can do about traces and they already patted me down to ensure I wasn't carrying anything. I just found the whole ordeal strange. Has anyone else experienced this kind of enhanced screening?
