Mrs IainC and I have a flight coming up in Y on SQ242 (SYD-SIN). At the time of booking the flights we selected our seats (two aisle seats in row 37). On the weekend I received an email from SQ informing me that due to a change to our flight our seats had been changed to row 53 aisle and middle. As far as I can tell there is no change to this flight scheduling or the aircraft (777-300ER). So is this normal practice for SQ to bump PAX from their preferred seat selection? I am curious because it seems there is no legitimate reason here to move us from our original seats.
